Shortcuts, tips & Pro
On the Mac, and on an iPad with a keyboard, the board is fastest from the keys. The same list lives in Settings › Keyboard shortcuts.

While dragging

Tips & tricks
- Double-tap a top-level element to select every element of its kind on the board.
- ⌘A with one card selected selects all of its siblings — the setup for Tidy Up or Stack.
- Hold still to nest, keep moving to pass over. The pause is the signal.
- Put a photo inside a freeform shape to cut it to any silhouette.
- Switch to Dark Mode on a single screen to see both appearances side by side.
- Convert a text to Freeform and you have a logo you can edit point by point.
- Quick search with no match makes a text element out of what you typed — the fastest way to add a label.
- Save Component on anything you will need again; it is in the palette on every device.
- Hide with the opacity toggle in Layers instead of deleting; it comes back with one tap.
- Long-press and hold on touch is a right-click. The ring fills, then the menu opens.
- ⌥ scroll zooms with a mouse; pinch on a trackpad.
- Export a selection from its own menu when you only need one screen.
- The colour picker remembers your recent colours and gradients across boards, and the system picker has an eyedropper.
- Several texts → one: select them and choose Merge Text; several drawings, Merge Drawings.
- Hover a Quick search bubble with a pointer to preview it before you add it (Settings › Quick search preview).
